🚗 STEM in Hobbies – RC (Remote Control) Car Racing
Ignite Your Curiosity with STEM!
Harness Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math to explore the thrilling world of RC car racing — where learning meets fun and innovation drives the excitement!
What Students Will Experience?
⚡Electronics & Signals-
Discover how analog vs. digital signals power RC car systems and learn the basics of circuits while upgrading your RC car with internal GPS transponders.
📊 Physics in Motion-
Apply principles of velocity, acceleration, and centripetal force using sensors, Arduino microcontrollers, AEORC R2 Speedometer GPS units, and radar speed guns in exciting lab activities.
🛠️ Engineering & Design-
Explore RC car mechanics, scale modeling, and track geometry. Use race app timing system software and design tools to connect engineering with real racing. We will build a wind tunnel to help study aerodynamics, drag, and airflow around your RC car in our lab.
🤝 Collaboration & Competition-
Team up to build the DLC 165 Digital Raceway and compete for the Championship Trophy with cars you’ve engineered and tuned.
